Dear Parents, we are glad to announce -that we have initiated our online admission process for the year 2022-23.

In the interest of maintaining a distraction-free environment on school days, we do not entertain one-on-one visits for exploring the school for admissions. Prospective parents are requested to follow the process mentioned below. Please avoid phone calls regarding admissions. Please click the link at the bottom of this page and fill in the form. You will receive a response in 3 working days. If you do not hear back from us, please send a message to admissions@bangaloresteinerschool.org to follow up. Kindly ensure that you read ALL the information on our website thoroughly to gauge if Steiner education could be the path for you as parents.

If you wish to actively pursue admission for the academic year 2022-23, you are requested to ensure that BOTH parents attend the entire Open Day Session. The Open Day consists of two sessions on the same day. Both parents may attend the sessions together or on separate days. The Open Day will be between 9 am to 4.30 pm, which will be split into two sessions-morning and afternoon. Our first Open Day is scheduled on 23rd Oct 2021.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, keeping in mind safety measures & social distancing, we have very limited seats for the Open Day. Hence, the enrolment will be on a first come first served basis.

Attendance of BOTH parents in BOTH sessions is a prerequisite for issuance of application forms. PRIOR registration is compulsory for attendance. Kindly click the link below to fill in the form for enrollment.

You can browse through the content below to familiarize yourself with the admission process.

  1. Attendance by both parents for Session 1 of Open Day- On ‘Parenting’ conducted by the school.
As the first step towards our admission process, you are required to attend a session on ‘Parenting’. It is mandatory for both parents to attend this session. Once we receive your request through the form link (at the bottom of this page), we will send you details of the Parenting session. The session is held from 9 am to 12 pm on the dates given below. Please note that children are not allowed for this session.

Understanding Steiner education philosophy at a reasonable level to determine if it resonates with you is the first step in our Enrolment exploration process for parents. For a successful parent-school partnership in the years to come, it is important that parents have the enthusiasm and commitment to transform their own aspirations, lifestyle and parenting to support the journey of the child at the school. This session on Parenting has been designed to answer the ‘Why’ of Steiner (Waldorf) education and the roles parents play in this journey with their child. We hope that this session will help you connect better with the philosophy of Steiner education through an understanding of the developmental stages of a child. Since this session is being conducted by a parent of our school, it will give you an opportunity to interact with them and get their ideas and thoughts about their journey as parents in the school.

  2. Attendance by both parents for Session 2 of the Open Day-On Curriculum Presentation conducted by teachers in the school.
This Session is held by teachers of the school and provides an overview of Steiner education. It will inform you of our approach towards education and the child. You will also get a glimpse into how the Steiner-Waldorf curriculum is delivered in the classroom by teachers, display of classroom work, a school tour and an overview of the history, management and life path of our school initiative.

Attendance of this full Session is essential for parents to make an informed choice for their child’s education at Bangalore Steiner School. Open Day Session 2 is held from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on the same day. In case of constraints, one can attend the Open Day Session 2 at a later date.

The dates for Open Day Session 1 (9am to 12pm) and Session 2 (1:30pm to 4:30pm) are provided in the list below:
    • Saturday, October 23, 2021
    • Saturday, November 27, 2021

We charge Rs. 500 per person as a single fee for attending the entire Open Day (both sessions included). Lunch will be provided on request. The bank details for the transfer will be provided once you register.

As we have to limit the seats due to social distancing, the registration for the Open Day Is confirmed only after we receive the payment.

  3. Observation of a child in the school or individually as the situation may require
This is organised considering mutual convenience of parents and the school to bring the child for an assessment. During this observation, a basic assessment is done on the child’s learning levels and needs to be addressed. The observation period is one day for a child seeking admission into Kindergarten or Grade 1 for all other classes, the observation period is one week.

Due to the current uncertain times of COVID-19 pandemic, we are in the process of evaluating alternative options for arranging the observation period for the children. Hence, the same will be advised to the parents during the Open Day.

  4. Application form for admission
This form is given out during the Open Day once you have decided to go forward with the admission process. The fee for the application form is Rs. 1000.

  5. Parent interview
This is done to understand the commitment of parents towards the child's education and their willingness to be part of this journey. It is only after the parent interview that we would be able to assess and confirm admission for the child.

All the above steps are necessary to complete the admission process.
