A Day of Freedom at Bangalore Steiner School.
This year’s Independence Day celebration at our school was more than just an event; it was a vibrant tapestry of emotions and unity. Our students and teachers created a truly magical world.
On the misty morning of August 15th, the school grounds looked like a beautiful living canvas. The students, dressed in their house colors of red, blue, green, and yellow, created a sea of vivid hues. They lined up in their designated sections—
Agni - Red,
Vayu - Yellow,
Jala - Blue
Prithvi - Green
-the cool breeze and morning mist joined in, adding a special touch to the atmosphere.
Ceremony and Cultural Extravaganza
The day began with hoisting of the national flag by the school's senior staff. The National Anthem that followed filled every heart with a sense of pride. This was followed by a session of yoga vyayama that rejuvenated both body and mind.
The cultural programs that came next were truly extraordinary. The students' heartfelt songs and motivational speeches were incredibly impactful. The performance by the high school students was especially captivating, as they impressed everyone with their maturity and artistry. The short play by the teachers also stole the show, and the speech by our Kindergarten teacher was deeply powerful. It was a beautiful reflection of the dedication and hard work of both the students and teachers.
Sports and Snacks
The grand finale was the throwball match. First, the teachers played a friendly match that was full of laughter and fun. While the teachers were playing, the students enjoyed warm avalakki (poha) and delicious boondi ladoos. Then, a thrilling match between the students and teachers began. The students played with such skill and agility that they ended up defeating the teachers! It was a moment that perfectly captured the saying, "The students surpassed their masters."
This year's Independence Day was not just a one-day event. It was a celebration of culture, sports, and mutual affection. Our school, for a day, didn’t feel like just a building; it felt like a true reflection of our nation's spirit.
