One of the most important celebrations at our school, the Dussehra festival, always brings a unique sense of joy and reverence at school. Each year, the school comes alive with vibrant festivities, blending tradition and creativity in a splendid showcase of devotion and artistry.
The first segment, the "Dolls arrangement" ritual, captures the essence of youthful imagination. Classrooms transform into miniaturized worlds, adorned with meticulously crafted dolls representing various deities and cherished characters. The pride gleaming in the eyes of the children as they display their handiwork is a sight to behold.
Next, the "Ayudha Puja" ceremony exemplifies the holistic approach to education. Objects from woodworking, gardening tools, and even beloved books take on a sacred aura, symbolizing the value of knowledge and craftsmanship. The reverence with which the children present their creations underscores the profound connection between learning and essence of the festival.
Lastly, the "Performance" section is a spirited display of youthful exuberance. Melodious renditions of devotional songs learned in class resonate through the air, while the stage comes alive with vibrant enactments of legends and tales associated with the auspicious Dussehra festival. The grace and enthusiasm with which the children perform leave an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience.
It was also a culmination for of “Hindi Diwas” and a celebration of “Kannada Rajyotsava” for us. The entire function (compeering and the performances by the children was in Hindi & Kannada).
