We have planned foundry for students in the high school curriculum next year. It is part of their holistic learning and experiences.
Except, we do not have a foundry at school.
So, instead of asking an external contractor to build it for us, our Grade 10 students, some of the teachers & grade 3 children (as they started the building block this year), rolled up their sleeves, procured the required materials and built the foundry shed entirely from scratch themselves.
They also tried their hand a bit to make sure it is working alright. After all, it will be used by the same high school students when they come back next academic year.
