Gardening Block by our Grade 3 children

Every year, Children of Grade 3 embark on a main lesson block involving Gardening.

Apart from the fun they have doing the activity, the essence of this is also to make them understand what it takes and how long it takes to grow food we take for granted. it naturally develops a reverence towards food and people involved in growing it.

This year, they grew Ragi and Corn. The Ragi was recently harvested as well.

They de-weeded the land, cleaned up the patch, sowed the seeds, looked after their patch regularly & reaped the fruits of their toil.
